About Delta Trust Northwest Advisory Council Lynette Shepherd

Lynette’s banking career started in 1965. A native of Georgia, she has traveled extensively from 1964 through 1977. One of her first positions was bookkeeping in Georgia. She then went on to Portugal, California, New Jersey and worked in various positions that included opening new accounts, deposit services and loan assistance. She spent time in Illinois while her husband of 43 years, Richard, was stationed in the US Air Force. They then moved to Arkansas after he retired. She worked as a teller/teller supervisor and eventually branch manager. She held the branch manager position for 18 years. Ironically, Lynette has been at the current Bella Vista location as the building was being built in 1997. She was instrumental in recruiting staff members and formalizing the branch in Bella Vista.

During her banking career, Lynette has attended numerous banking educational courses and has also done training of staff on procedures and leadership.

Lynette has been involved in many civic organizations, including Bella Vista Library Building Committee, Bella Vista Business Association, Bella Vista United Way, secretary and president of the Village House in Bella Vista, and has been secretary of Delta Trust & Bank Advisory Board since 2002.

Lynette and Richard still live in Bella Vista where the both enjoy the amenities and diversity of the community. Lynette is currently working part-time and continues to enjoy being part of the Delta Trust & Bank team.
