J. French Hill
Mr. J. French Hill is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Hill serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Delta Trust & Banking Corp. and as a Director of Delta Trust & Bank. Prior to founding Delta Trust, Mr. Hill served First Commercial Corporation of Little Rock as the Chairman of the Board of its trust company and its investment brokerage subsidiaries. Beginning his banking career in 1979 with the First National Bank of Dallas, he has a diverse background in investments, finance and government service. Prior to joining First Commercial in 1993, Mr. Hill was a special assistant to President George Bush for economic policy. In 1993, he was awarded the U.S. Treasury's Distinguished Service Award for his leadership at the Treasury and the White House. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a B.S. in economics.
Mr. Hill is a trustee of the George W. Donaghey Foundation and the Louise Loughborough Trust. He is a member of the Board of Directors Arkansas Children's Hospital and the Quapaw Area Council, B.S.A. He is the recipient of the City of Little Rock's Edwin N. Hanlon Memorial Award, as an outstanding business leader, for his contributions to the arts and humanities in the city. He is the President of the Rotary Club of Little Rock, the 8th largest Rotary.
