Mutual Funds
Delta Trust Investments, Inc. offers mutual funds from industry leaders including American Funds, Franklin Funds, Federated Funds and many others. For those investors who prefer no-load funds, we also offer fee based programs. Mutual Funds are an easy and relatively low cost way to invest. By using mutual funds, your investments are diversified into many smaller investments. Theoretically, this creates a safer portfolio because it spreads out the risk.
Types of Mutual Funds:
- STOCK FUNDS – Also known as equity funds, these investments are primarily stocks. They are the most risky of the three types of mutual funds. Over a short period of time they can rise and fall, however over the long term they tend to be stable.
- BOND FUNDS – These types of funds are invested in government or corporate bonds. They are often added to an investment portfolio to increase returns and reduce overall portfolio volatility.
- MONEY MARKET FUNDS – These are short-term investments in government, agency and short-term company debt. They are designed to function as an alternative to cash.
