The following describes how Delta Trust Investments, Inc. (DTII) handles your personal information, and what steps we take to protect your privacy.
Accessing Information
Access to customer information is authorized for DTII's business purposes only. It is based on our need to know such information to assist your financial advisor in providing products or services to you, or to conduct DTII's business. DTII requires its employees who have access to customer information to protect it and keep it confidential.
Collecting Information to Conduct Business
As authorized by your broker, DTII collects information about you to help your financial advisor serve your financial needs, provide customer service, offer new products or services, and fulfill legal and regulatory requirements. The type of information that your financial advisor provides DTII varies according to the products or services you request through your financial advisor, and may include:
- Information included on your application and related forms (such as name, address, Social Security number, assets and income);
- Information about your relationships with your financial advisor (such as products or services purchased, account balances and payment history); and
- Information from visitors to DTII's website (such as that provided through online forms, site visitorship data and online information collecting devices known as "cookies").
Sharing Information
In the course of conducting business, we may disclose some or all of the previously described information about you to our parent, Delta Trust & Bank, and other businesses including non-affiliated third parties (i.e. First Clearing, LLC the clearing agent for DTII) as allowed by law, for the purpose of:
- Providing customer service or account maintenance;
- In response to a subpoena, to prevent fraud, or to comply with an inquiry by a government agency or regulator, and
- To perform services for us or on our behalf to develop or maintain software.
If you prefer that we not share information (other than transaction and experience information) within the Delta family of companies, you may choose to opt-out (or ask us not to share). To opt-out, simply send us your request in writing. Your opt-out request will become effective as soon as reasonably practicable after we receive it.
